This policy explains when refunds are available for services and products provided by RDI Solutions LLC, operating as Dr Printers ("we," "us," "our"). It forms part of our Terms of Service. Our goal is simple: you should pay for repairs that work.
1. Our Workmanship Warranty
Every repair we complete is covered by a 90-day workmanship warranty on the parts we installed and the labor we performed.
If the same fault we repaired recurs within the warranty period:
- We return and re-repair at no charge. Contact us, and we will schedule a priority return visit. There is no visit fee, labor charge, or parts charge for correcting our own repair.
- If we cannot fix it, we refund it. If, on the return visit, we cannot restore the repaired function, we will refund the repair charge for that fault in full.
What the workmanship warranty does not cover
- A different fault from the one we repaired (for example, a fuser failure after we replaced pickup rollers);
- Damage occurring after our visit from drops, spills, power surges, pests, or use of incompatible supplies;
- Normal consumable depletion (toner, ink, drums reaching their rated life);
- Equipment that we identified in writing as requiring additional repairs the customer declined;
- Repairs altered or attempted by anyone else after our visit.
Manufacturer parts we install may also carry their own manufacturer warranty, which is separate from and in addition to this policy.
2. Diagnostic Fees
A diagnostic fee may apply only when a technician completes an on-site diagnosis and either:
- You decline the proposed repair; or
- The equipment is beyond economical repair.
The applicable diagnostic fee is disclosed before your visit is scheduled. It is not charged in addition to a completed repair — if you approve the repair, the diagnostic fee is applied toward (absorbed into) the repair price. Diagnostic fees for completed diagnostic visits are non-refundable, because the service (the diagnosis) has been fully delivered.
3. Repairs That Cannot Be Completed
If we begin an approved repair and cannot complete it — for example, a required part proves unavailable — you pay nothing for the incomplete repair beyond any disclosed diagnostic fee, and any prepaid repair amount is refunded in full.
4. Toner, Supplies, and Parts Purchases
- Unopened supplies (toner, ink, maintenance kits in original sealed packaging) may be returned within 30 days of purchase for a full refund.
- Opened supplies may be returned if defective; we will replace them or refund the purchase price.
- Special-order parts obtained specifically for your equipment are refundable only if uninstalled and returnable to our supplier; we will tell you at order time if a part is non-returnable.
5. Maintenance Contracts
Refunds of maintenance contract fees are governed by the applicable contract document. As a general rule, annual contracts cancelled by the customer mid-term are refunded pro-rata for whole unused months, less the standard (non-contract) price of any visits already performed. Contracts cancelled by us for reasons other than customer breach are refunded pro-rata with no deduction.
6. Prepayments and Deposits
Any prepayment or deposit for a visit that does not take place — whether cancelled by you within the free cancellation window or cancelled by us for any reason — is refundable in full.
7. How Refunds Are Issued
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 7–10 business days of approval. If the original payment method is unavailable (for example, a cancelled card), we will arrange an alternative method with you. We will confirm every refund in writing by email.
8. Requesting a Refund
To request a refund or make a warranty claim, contact us with your name, service date, service address, and a description of the issue:
Ronkonkoma, NY 11779 Phone: +1 (934) 470-4670 Email: service@drprinters.com
We respond to refund and warranty requests within 2 business days.
9. Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy limits any rights or remedies you may have under applicable consumer protection law. Where applicable law provides greater rights than this policy, the law prevails.
